Founded by Gareth Ward, the genius behind the two Michelin-starred Ynyshir - just six miles away - this restaurant pays tribute to his late mother with a Welsh-inspired name. Gwen aims to redefine Machynlleth's food scene, carrying the same ethos of Ynyshir to feature the best ingredients from around the world; and also to bring attention to the incredible local businesses that surround them on the high street.

This is a cozy restaurant - a combination of a relaxed wine bar at the front, that makes way to an intimate 8-seat restaurant offering a communal and immersive dining experience with a compact open kitchen in full view. Think Kitchen Table in London, but smaller. Head Chef Corrin Harrison delivers distinctive 10-course menus designed by Gareth and himself, for a fun culinary adventure.
