Head Chef - Robby Jenks
Robby Jenks' interest in becoming a chef began when he worked as a kitchen porter in his home town of Tiverton, Devon. A lot of hours in the kitchen gave him a buzz for the fast paced environment.

Four years of 'hard graft', followed by Chef de Partie through to Junior Sous Chef at Michelin starred Gidleigh Park under Michael Caines; moving on to Whatley Manor working with 2 Michelin starred Martin Burge, which was followed by a return to Gidleigh Park.  In 2013 Robby earned his first Head Chef position at Amberley Castle's 3AA rosette restaurant where he worked for three years using his creative flair to design new and exciting dishes as well as delivering masterclasses and external promotional events.

Head Chef at Vineyard since February 2016, Robby is passionate about great food; his style is classical cooking with modern techniques, using the best possible ingredients, to create a simple but perfect dining experience, taking local and sustainable seasonal produce to deliver the best plate possible.

The property is a 5-Star Relais & Chateaux hotel and spa, renowned for its impeccable service, 3 AA Rosette restaurant and award winning 30,000 bottle wine cellar. Led by their Head Chef Robby Jenks, with menus inspired by the freshest seasonal ingredients and the simplest of combinations. 


The property is owned by Sir Peter Michael, who also owns the highly regarded Peter Michael Winery in California and displays numerous pieces of his vast art collection. The dining experience is refined and luxurious with an extensive wine cellar of over 30,000 bottles of old and new wine.
