Founded in 1824, The Oriental Club is one of London’s most historic private members’ clubs, shaped by more than 200 years of diplomacy, travel and international influence. Originally established for officers, diplomats and travellers returning from across Asia and the Middle East, the Club today remains a quietly distinguished institution with a character entirely its own.

The Club has recently unveiled a redesigned Dining Room by Russell Sage and Russell Sage Studio, bringing a lighter, more contemporary sensibility to its historic interiors while preserving the atmosphere and elegance associated with the Club for generations.

Dining remains central to Club life, with the menu reflecting the Club’s East-meets-West heritage as naturally as the membership itself. Alongside British classics and traditional club favourites sits an extensive selection of Indian-inspired dishes and curries, with both à la carte and set lunch menus offering breadth and variety.

Beyond the Dining Room, the Club extends into a series of elegant lounges, private dining spaces and an expansive garden terrace designed for year-round use, alongside 40 individually appointed bedrooms and a calendar of regular member events.

Membership enquiries from Luxury Restaurant Guide members are welcomed by The Oriental Club. The Club offers a range of membership categories including Town, Country, Overseas and younger member options.
