Moda at House of George W. Davies
The Cotswolds, Worcestershire
Overview
In the heart of Broadway, MODA is the restaurant at The House of George W. Davies — a strikingly elegant ten-bedroom retreat created by retail visionary George W. Davies, founder of Next, George at Asda and Per Una.
Led by Chef James Wilson (formerly of The Newt in Somerset, Grön in Helsinki and Oaxen Krog in Stockholm) and Operations Manager Anthony Au Yeung (previously fifteen years with Joël Robuchon in Hong Kong), MODA brings exceptional pedigree and precision to the heart of the Cotswolds.
The restaurant’s name — Italian for fashion — is a nod to Davies’s creative roots. Inside, the mood is refined yet relaxed: a 30-seat dining room flowing onto a sheltered terrace, with interiors defined by balance, natural light and quiet confidence. The menu reflects Wilson’s modern British style, with dishes that celebrate craftsmanship, clarity of flavour and the best seasonal produce.
MODA captures the essence of contemporary country dining — polished but personal, intimate but effortlessly British.
