Overview

It's started with a bang. Chef proprietor Henry Kremer-Ireson has created a winning formula that has been drawing visitors from near and far since its launch in September 2023. A real snowball of recommendations singing their praises. It's people all ages, with the common dominator being food adventurers, drawn to Damson's high-end tasting menu experience with a down to earth approach.

It is billed as a 'humble ingredient-led fine dining restaurant with a relaxed and down-to-earth approach to service. Nothing too complicated or extravagant, simply humble and refined with a focus on flavour.' Enjoy a four-course mid-week menu Wednesday and Thursday, a four-course lunch menu on Friday and Saturday and seven-courses in the evening.

The restaurant, in the former Winterbourne Arms pub, is a 28-seater marvel at the heart of a tiny quintessential English village with easy connections to Newbury.
