Beneath The Dorchester’s grandeur, China Tang remains London’s definitive address for Cantonese glamour – lacquered, low-lit and alive with its own rhythm. A recent refresh has brough new clarity to its art deco detailing while keeping the vivid spirit of 1930s Shanghai intact. Two decades on, it’s still the place where the city dresses up, martinis are perfectly chilled, and every meal feels like an occasion.

At Harrods, Dim Sum by China Tang takes the same devotion to craft and applies it to a more relaxed frame. The menu centres on delicate dim sum and bao, alongside wok-fried favourites such as Szechuan prawns, black-pepper beef, and classic noodles and rice, with quietly inventive cocktails to match. A year in, it’s already earned its place as a Knightsbridge favourite, and a natural extension of the Tang world.
