An adventure awaits on every floor of this 18th Century London townhouse. On the ground floor is the artist conceived gastro-brasserie restaurant, David Shrigley’s Gallery serving afternoon tea and dinner. Turner prize nominated and Fourth Plinth commissioned, David Shrigley has transformed the Gallery at sketch as part of a long-term programme of artist-conceived restaurants. Open for afternoon tea and dinner the project follows the huge success of artist Martin Creed’s restaurant commission at sketch in 2012. Crisp and clean with a touch of his signature humour, Shrigley’s ceramics work with two Michelin star rated Pierre Gagnaire’s food (the stars are for the Lecture Room and Library restaurant upstairs) to reconstruct the tabletop into its own exhibition space.
