The Idle Rocks

The Idle Rocks is situated idyllically on the Harbourside of St Mawes. Perched perfectly on the rocks, it's the home from home where you can make yourself comfortable in one of 19 individually designed bedrooms, each with its own unique style and charm.

The hotel restaurant, The Reef Knot Restaurant, focuses on locally sourced produce with flavour, texture and presentation being integral to all dishes. 

Guy Owen, Executive Head Chef, brings a renewed passion for Cornwall’s seafood and seasonal produce. He focuses on sustainability and the honest, bold flavours of the coast. His new menus celebrate the region’s finest produce and trusted local suppliers – most notably the daily fresh catch from in-house fisherman Gareth Austin, landed just metres from the restaurant kitchen
