At the foothills of Ben Nevis sits possibly Scotland's finest luxury hotel and restaurant, Inverlochy Castle. Built back in 1873, its unique location amongst the glens, lochs and mountains of the West Highlands of Scotland was even commented by Queen Victoria after she spent a week at Inverlochy whilst a private residence to sketch and paint. She wrote in her diary 'I never saw a lovelier or more romantic spot.'

Now one of Scotland's finest country house hotels in unrivalled surroundings this is a boutique destination (17 bedrooms) with a punch with 'Seasgair by Michel Roux Jr' the hotel's restaurant overseen by two Michelin star chef, Michel Roux Jr and presented by head chef Coalin Finn. To experience 'Seasgair by Michel Roux Jr' is to be transported back to the true essence of Inverlochy Castle, to experience it how guests would have when the castle was a private home.

Dinner commences at 7pm, where a glass of Champagne or a custom designed cocktail will be waiting on arrival. Evenings then begin in the Great Hall, where the chefs prepare and present a carefully chosen variety of canapes, before guests make their way to the warm and comfortable dining rooms to enjoy five dishes artfully devised by the chefs.

The menu changes with what is available that day, with the small, local producers that neighbour the castle featuring prominently across the menu, dishes such as wild boar charcuterie made just seven miles from the castle, Highland venison wellington served to share or a platter of Scottish oysters are just a taste of what to expect.

Seasgair by Michel Roux Jr. is priced at £125pp, which includes freshly prepared canapes, a wonderfully presented 5-course set menu using the finest quality ingredients, petit fours with tea and coffee, and a custom welcome drink.

*Please note, there will be only one sitting per evening and it will be the only dining option available at Inverlochy Castle Hotel after 6/6.30pm, including room service.

Membership benefits are also available in sister property Chez Roux at The Cromlix. See Chez Roux at The Cromlix for details.
