Healing Manor and The Pig & Whistle

There has been a manor house in Healing since Domesday, and parts of the original medieval manor can be located in the cellar, where Flemish bricks can be seen. The building was transformed in the 1700's and this part of the house is where the reception and the Portman Restaurant are located. With a detailed history since, Healing Manor and The Pig & Whistle are now run by Steven Bennett and Charlotte Hay.

The Pig & Whistle is a dog friendly pub which recently received its 2AA Rosette award, and serves British classics 7 days a week - including starters of Smoked Haddock Scotch Egg, straw potatoes, vinegar or Yorkie Sandwiches, shredded short rib, black pudding, caramelised milk & onion puree, toasted Yorkshire tea bread, and mains of Pork Fillet, pork cheek & black pudding wellington, medjool dates, carrot, fondant potato or Turbot, croquette, chorizo, squid tagliatelle, samphire, allium nut butter. Alongside the classic pub menu, a children's, toddler and dog-friendly menu make the whole family welcome.
