1 Lombard Street, Brasserie, Restaurant and Bar, is perhaps one of the Square Mile's most established dining destinations. It is arguably also its best placed, sited in pole position next to Mansion House, the official residence of the Lord Mayor of the City of London, and directly opposite the Bank of England. A casually elegant room and inviting, it features the building's stunning glass cupola - a centre piece Dome designed by Italian architect Pietro Agostini which houses The Done Bar. The food here is comforting and classic. Chef's Specials Menu changes each day to reflect fresh seasonal produce. Grilled whole Dover Sole and Calf's Liver & Bacon with mash potato are City favourites. There's also a formidable choice of steaks and many delicious desserts.
