Trader Vics closed after Hilton Park Lane fire drama

Trader Vics, the Polynesian styled restaurant in the basement of the Hilton Park Lane, remains closed for service after a fire broke out in the kitchens on Friday evening shortly after the hotel hosted the Silver Clef music awards ceremony.

More than 1,500 guests were evacuated, including Will-i-am from the Black Eyed Peas, from the 28 storey Mayfair hotel which also house the Michelin stared Galvin at Windows on the top floor.

There were no reported injuries and the hotel has re-opened with the exception of Trader Vics which has minor damage to repair.  No date has been given for the re-open date.
