Private Club Introduction: The Lansdowne Club

10th Apr 2026

A rare opportunity to experience The Lansdowne Club — one of Mayfair’s most established private members’ clubs — through a one-off, dining-led introduction.

The Lansdowne Club: one of Mayfair’s most established private members’ clubs, is now available to experience through a one-off dining-led invitation within the Luxury Restaurant Guide app.

Occupying an 18th-century Robert Adam mansion on Berkeley Square, The Lansdowne Club has stood at the centre of Mayfair life since 1763. Reimagined in 1935 as a private members’ club – and notably one of the first to welcome men and women on equal terms – it remains one of London’s most enduring addresses.

The Grade II listed Ballroom, designed by Robert Adam, anchors the Club’s 18th-century classical heritage and the art deco private dining room.

What distinguishes The Lansdowne Club is its balance. Aristocratic heritage sits comfortably alongside 1930s Art Deco design — a blend of classicism and style that feels neither preserved nor performative, but entirely current. Grand entertaining rooms give way to more intimate spaces; tradition exists, but in a comfortable fashion.

Dining at The Lansdowne Club

At the centre of the experience is the Art Deco Dining Room – one of London’s finest of its kind – where members are invited to dine as part of this one-off introduction. Pre-dining drinks in the equally elegant Piano Bar set the tone. Under the direction of Executive Head Chef Henry Brosi, the kitchen delivers some of the most accomplished cooking found within a private members’ club – ingredient-led, and entirely in keeping with its surroundings.

It is, in every sense, a room typically reserved for members. To dine here, even once, is to understand the appeal.

Menus can be viewed here, with reservations required in advance.

Inside the Club

Beyond the table, the Club reveals its broader appeal. Members may choose to access selected facilities on the day, including a gleaming 25-yard swimming pool, a substantial gym and sports centre, and even a fencing salle — a rare feature in central London. There are lounges for conversation, spaces for work, and a steady calendar of events that bring a sense of life beyond the formal.

The Club’s bedrooms provide the option to stay, with Luxury Restaurant Guide members able to access a preferred rate on Friday evenings for a limited timeframe when using their experience.

The Club is also well suited to private entertaining. A number of rooms – from the Grade II* listed Ballroom to more intimate dining spaces – are available to reserve throughout the year, with preferential rates available for Luxury Restaurant Guide members.
