Michelin Releases Guide to Main Cities of Europe

Michelin have released a 20 page press release on 16 Mar 10 on the main cities of Europe (so unfortunately Bray doesn’t figure). Judging by stars in main cities (see page 4) France dominates with 85 Michelin Starred properties, Germany 49, UK 48 – beaten by them again! However the UK does have 2 with three Michelin stars and Germany has none.

Key statistics from the 2010 Michelin Guide to Main Cities of Europe features 3,257 establishments, of which 1,542 are hotel and 1,715 are restaurants. Budapest got its first ever star, well done. In all there are 231 Bib Gourmand, 341 starred restaurants, of which 271 with one star (41 new), 55 with two stars (5 new) and 15 with three stars (1 new being Alain Ducasse, London).
