Tim and Emma Ford’s restaurant, in a gorgeous listed Georgian dower house, is a delight. You feel like you are visiting a dear friend’s home who coincidentally has a Michelin chef in the kitchen. Yet the underlying organisation displays a tight ship, with friendly, attentive service and immaculate cooking.Indeed, Tim’s cooking is at the heart of the operation. He and Emma bought the house ten years ago and their enjoyment in what they do generates an atmosphere of calm contentment, with Emma’s superb wine list perfectly complementing Tim’s cooking.
