Overview

Established for over 500 years as a fine hostelry, the iconic Black Swan Hotel sits right in the heart of the North Yorkshire's prettiest market towns, Helmsley and on the edge of the North Yorkshire moors.

The cosy four-star, 45 bedroom historic properties is one of Yorkshire's finest privately owned hotels, full of charm and character, and right in the centre of it all, surveying the town's bustling market place. Externally, the hotel has three distinct sections, Elizabethan, Georgian and Tudor, giving a hint to its centuries of hospitality, whilst at the rear is a quintessential walled garden tiers away from the property to view the adjoining village church.

The Gallery Restaurant is highly awarded and is adorned with original works of art which may also be bought to take home with you.  Savour delicious seasonal fayre, conjured up by internationally acclaimed, award winning Head Chef, Alan O'Kane.  Or enjoy the charming tearoom, serving a delectable array of teas and having won the 'Award of Excellence' by the illustrious Tea Guild over many years.
