This Mayfair institution from the Roux family has held its coveted position as the bastion of French cuisine since 1967, and the quality of gastronomy, service and atmosphere ensures it remains amongst London's most loved restaurants. Currently holder of two Michelin stars, the unassuming doorway leads to a tasteful and unpretentious dining room. The legendary maitre d' Silvano Giraldin may have retired in August 2008, but Emmanuel Landre has been at Le Gavroche for ten years and is more than capable of carrying the mantle.
