Le Café LPM at The Lanesborough
The West House
Fayre at The Shepherd Mayfair
Mayfair, London
Overview
Launch date: Tuesday 6th October 2026
Fayre is the main restaurant at The Shepherd Mayfair, a boutique hotel in the heart of Shepherd Market. The hotel takes its name from the pocket of London it occupies, with a nod to the shepherd who once tended his flock here before the surrounding streets and market took shape.
On the ground floor, Fayre is an intimate 62-cover dining room with dark timber panelling, berry tones and banquette seating. Artwork by Adam Ellis draws on the spectacle of the original May Fair, once held in the fields here, with scenes of markets, theatre, jugglers and games of chance. It all makes for a rather handsome setting, with more of the character of a Mayfair neighbourhood restaurant than a conventional hotel dining room.
The cooking is centred on seasonal British produce, taking in familiar British dishes alongside European classics, grills and a good choice of vegetarian dishes. There is some fun at pudding, too: ‘Puddings by the Glass’ takes British favourites and serves them in tall glasses, with the selection changing regularly.
Fayre serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. Elsewhere at The Shepherd, The Lounge is an all-day café-style space with an outdoor terrace, while downstairs Teddy’s takes over later as the hotel’s cocktail bar.
