Chef-proprietor Tomonari Chiba sprinkled his culinary magic over Nobu’s kitchen, so it comes as no surprise to see that he has produced a miracle at his own restaurant. Dinings makes its stand for individuality even as one walks through the door of the narrow Marylebone townhouse. There is no oligarchic pretension here. Instead there is well bred, quirky insouciance in the lack of glitz and the plain surrounds. The restaurant stands confidently on what really matters: fantastic service and stupendous food at – this is the strange part – reasonable prices.
