JSW is short for Jake Saul Watkins, Chef Proprietor of the restaurant. The 17th Century former coaching inn is packed with original features such as beams, a well and a cellar now home to 700 wine choices. The decor is beautifully minimalist with natural wood, sanded floors, bare brickwork and white walls and there is a secluded terrace which can be found in the courtyard at the rear of the restaurant, ideal for al fresco dining.Jake believes in total simplicity on the plate as well as in decor and believes resolutely in British Seasonal food. He and his chefs allow ingredients to speak for themselves.
