Chef Proprietor - Eric Snaith

Eric began his career in the kitchen of his family's hotel at the age of 15. When travelling around Australia in 1999/2000, he began working as a chef in various kitchens, developing his passion for cooking. On his return to England he worked as Sous Chef at the Rose & Crown in Snettinsham, until in 2003 he returned as Head Chef to his family-owned Titchwell Manor, which he has since won three AA rosettes for along with a host of other awards.

Over the years, Eric has gained a reputation for producing experimental and innovative food using the finest local ingredients and cutting-edge techniques, reflecting his self-taught ability and enthusiasm for modern cuisine. He has also opened Eric's Fish and Chips, a standalone fish and chip restaurant just down the road from the hotel at Drove Orchards. 


Sitting pretty along the picturesque Norfolk coast at Drove Orchard, Eric's Fish & Chips harks back to the traditional British fish and chip restaurants of the past with a modern menu seasoned with contemporary European cuisine, carried over from owner Eric Snaith's three AA Rosette restaurant. 

Using local, seasonal produce - some sourced within mere miles of the restaurant - Eric's Fish & Chips champions artisan producers, British farmers and sustainably caught fish. Open from noon to 9pm daily, eat-in or take away, bring the kids for a weekend treat, meet in the evening for a convivial feast with friends or spend some time, just the two of you, sharing a bag doused in salt and vinegar.
